World Fireknife Championships

Kenrom posted this video of a perlim in the 2005 World Fireknife Championships. The defending champion showing off some contact moves, fast throws and some interesting 3 and four staff work. (Non juggling, for the three and four staff stuff.)

Sage Firestaff Video

Sage (Yes Sage!) fire 'dancing', yes, fire dancing with actual real dancing! Not technical, not contact, but instead beautiful to watch. If you check the youtube page there's also lots of videos of her doing poi. O_o

Pistache Poi Video

Awesome poi video from France. Featuring a girl known as Pistache, doing graceful fluent poi. Lovely to watch, and some nice camera work too.

New Poi Video From Rev

A new video from Rev! I can't believe I didn't notice it for ages! He's doing some awesome stuff with inside planes in this video. Sometimes his planes are a bit odd, but he hasn't done poi for a year and so I think you can forgive him that. Pretty shweeet video!

If you didn't know, Rev is one of the old guard of poi but from a glowstringing bend, hence the glowsticks you see in this video.

spherculism.net

Matt from spherculism recently released at least two metric tonnes of new poi tutorial videos, which equates to about 300 videos. Yeah. Amazing! He's obviously awesome and so if you want to learn something / anything with poi, you should go check spherculism out. :D

Nupe Cane Twirling

In certain American fraternities a strange form of cane twirling has grown. There's a lot more could be said about it's origins and it's practitioners, but it's all pretty easy to find online.

This is a video of a nameless youtube guy doing some awesome single cane twirling, and really dancing with it too. Very cool.

You can also find double and triple cane videos on youtube. Yes, I love youtube. :)

Thanks to Will for pointing it out to me. :D
